Cape Town Convention Bureau
The Cape Town & Western Cape Convention Bureau promotes Cape Town and the Western Cape as a preferred and premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, events, exhibitions and trade fairs.

The Convention Bureau is a strategic business unit of Cape Town Routes Unlimited, the official tourism destination marketing organisation for Cape Town and the Western Cape.
Destination expertise
The bureau provides destination expertise and support to associations, corporates, professional conference organisers, event organisers and destination management companies. Since its inception in 1999, the Bureau has achieved great success, with numerous successful conferences having been hosted in the city since then.
Conferences & Exhibitions
After the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ a total of 37 association conferences have been secured in the years ahead. Together these conferences will contribute an estimated R719 million to the economy of the Western Cape.
Cape Town remains the number one conference destination in Africa and the Middle East after it retained the 35th position in the 2009 ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) global rankings. In relation to its partners in the BestCities Global Alliance, Cape Town fared very well, jumping two places to be ranked third behind Singapore (5) and Copenhagen (6).
Cape Town owes its reputation and excellent track record to superb locations, facilities and world-class services, as well as to its highly organised and sophisticated infrastructure.
The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is the only convention centre in Africa that boasts the ISO 14001 standard for Environmental Management. This premier venue also has over 56 000 square meters of usable space. See the CTICC Events Calendar for upcoming events at the CTICC.
